HABBEKÉ SHIPYARD, established in 1966, has nearly forty years experience of quality shipbuilding.  The wharf builds exclusively in aluminium, and enjoys an excellent reputation for innovation, quality and service. In fact all products that leave HABBEKÉ SHIPYARD are built to stringent quality controls and the yard happily register new vessels with national and international safety standards such as ABS or Lloyds.

One of the key factors in our success is our commitment to working with the client and the designer. This has resulted in many long-termrelationships with individual and institutional customers. The delivery list includes boats from a large number of international designers.HABBEKÉ SHIPYARD also builds sections of larger projects, e.g. a bare hull, a dodger, or flying bridge.

Our wharf and head office are located in Volendam. Next to that we have a separate repair and completion site in Edam with water frontage and lifting facilities. It has a direct contact with the IJsselmeer and from there to the North Sea via IJmuiden and Amsterdam or Den Oever.

After reviewing their strategy, the trading partners of Crewtender.com, HABBEKÉ SHIPYARD & Merwelands Yachtbuilding, are now offering a larger range of pilot boats and crew tenders. This latest line of Crew tenders has been built to operate in extremely varied conditions.  They are able to reach speeds high enough to approach and transfer pilots to ocean-going vessels in adverse weather conditions far out at sea.  But they can also work in busy confined spaces like the Rotterdam Harbour Complex where they need to be able to withstand sever buffeting when going alongside ships or wharfs in a rugged work environment.

The De Vries Lentsch hull is a proven rough-weather performer, with a perfect balanced dead-rise bottom, spray deflecting strips and chine. The shape works well at planing speeds in both head and following seas, minimizes roll in cross seas, and retains good control at displacement speeds even in the worst conditions.
